Install the Gateway Connector to an AWS environment

You install the Gateway Connector using the AMI in the AWS Marketplace.
  1. Sign in to the AWS management console at https://aws.amazon.com/console.
  2. To create the Gateway Connector instance. Perform the following actions:
    1. Open the EC2 service.
    2. In the left column, under Instances, click Instances.
    3. Click Launch instances.
    4. On the Launch an instance screen, type a name for the Gateway Connector instance.
    5. In the Amazon Machine Image (AMI) section, click Browse more AMIs.
    6. On the Choose an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) screen, click the AWS Marketplace AMIs tab.
    7. In the Selected AMI search field, type CylanceGATEWAY. Press Enter.
    8. Select an instance type according to your organization's requirements.
      Note: Arctic Wolf recommends that you select an instance type of c6in or c5n for production environments.
    9. Select a key pair to securely connect to your connector instance through OpenSSH. 
    10. In the Network settings section, click Edit and specify the following settings:
      1. Click the VPC drop-down and select your private network.
      2. Optionally, click the Auto-assign public IP and select Enable. You must assign a public IP address to the Gateway Connector only if you do not have a way to access the connector's web interface using the private network that it is installed on.
      3. Select or create a security group according to your organization's requirements. The security group must have port 22 (SSH), port 80 (HTTP), and port 443 (HTTPS) access to the Gateway Connector from the network that the enrollment is being completed from. 
    11. Click Launch instance.
