Use BlackBerry UEM to install the Aurora Protect Mobile app on devices

You can use UEM to install the Aurora Protect Mobile app on devices. The app must be distributed from UEM because it requires app configurations that are not present if users download and install the app from the BlackBerry web site, App Store, or Google Play.
Note:
Consider the  feature limitations when you use UEM to install the Aurora Protect Mobile app on devices:
  • For devices with the Android Enterprise user privacy or full control activation types, SMS message scanning is not supported.
  • For devices with any Android Enterprise activation type, screen lock detection is not supported.
Review the Prerequisites: Verifying that devices are MDM managed.
  1. Complete the instructions in the UEM Administration content to add the Aurora Protect Mobile app to the app list:

    Specify these app configuration settings:

    OS

    App configuration settings

    iOS
    • App configuration name: name
    • Key: uemperimeterid
    • Value: %perimeterid%

    Android

    Name: name

    These settings are prepopulated:
    • User Id: userid
    • UEM Perimeter Id: %perimeterid%
  2. Assign the Aurora Protect Mobile app to users or groups.
  3. Set the disposition of the Aurora Protect Mobile app to Required.
