Bulk install or uninstall Aurora Endpoint Security agents using Datto RMM

You can use Datto RMM to bulk install or uninstall Aurora Endpoint Security agents across multiple Windows or macOS devices.

These actions are required:

  • Make sure that all affected devices meet agent installation prerequisites. For more information, see Aurora Endpoint Security tenant prerequisites.
  • You must install the Aurora Protect agent on devices before installing the Aurora Focus agent.
  1. In Datto, navigate to the site that you want to use.
  2. In the site settings, navigate to the Variables section.
  3. Add these site variables:

    Variable name

    Value
    install_token

    The relevant agent installation token from the Aurora Endpoint Security console.
    • protect_uninstall_key
    • focus_uninstall_key

    The Aurora Endpoint Security agents uninstallation password. The Aurora Protect agent and Aurora Focus agent use the same password.

  4. Save your changes.
  5. In Datto, navigate to the ComStore.
  6. Search for these components:
    • CylancePROTECT Deploy [Win]
    • CylancePROTECT Deploy [Mac]
    • CylanceOPTICS Deploy [Win]
    • CylanceOPTICS Deploy [Mac]
  7. Add the components to the Datto Component Library.
  8. Create a job to deploy the appropriate component configuration to devices.
    1. Set the action to Install or Uninstall.
    2. Set the target to specific devices, sites, or site groups.
    3. Set the execution to Run as system account.
