Review risks that failed validation

On a weekly or monthly basis, review risks that failed validation to recognize and prevent future security vulnerabilities.

If a risk has a State of Fixed, Waiting Validation and then fails validation, the risk State changes to Unsuccessful Validation. For example, the risk State of a device that was offline for a period of time was manually updated to Fixed, Waiting Validation because it was Inactive. When that device is online again, the risk is found again, so the State changes to Unsuccessful Validation.

See Risk states for more information.

  1. Sign in to the Risk Dashboard.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Risks.
  3. In the Filters section, click Clear Filters, and then configure these settings:
    • State — Add the Unsuccessful Validation filter.
    • Status — Add these filters:
      • Active
      • Inactive
  4. If you believe that a risk that failed validation is resolved:
    1. In the Risks section, click the risk.
    2. In the Additional Details section, click See additional details.
    3. For IVA and EVA risks, review details about what was found and why it was flagged as a risk.
    4. For Agent risks, review details about why the vulnerability was detected for the risk. Optionally, complete a vulnerabilities debug scan to view a complete account of successes and failures on the asset.
See Risk information pane for more information about Additional details.
  5. Contact your Concierge Security® Team (CST) at security@arcticwolf.com to request assistance with the investigation.
