Support for Aurora Endpoint Defense on legacy systems
Support for agents on legacy operating systems
Arctic Wolf provides continued support for specific versions of the Aurora Protect Desktop and Aurora Focus agents on the following legacy operating systems. The operating systems below are designated as legacy because they have been deprecated by the manufacturer.
Changes to the information below will be published at least 12 months in advance to help customers prepare for the removal of support for legacy operating systems.

- Arctic Wolf strongly encourages customers to upgrade desktop devices to modern operating systems that are actively supported by the manufacturer and to upgrade to the latest available version of the agents to benefit from the latest features and fixes.
- Aurora Protect Desktop agent version 2.1.1564 and 1568 are no longer available for download from the Endpoint Defense console, but they are available by request from Arctic Wolf Technical Support.
- Arctic Wolf Technical Support will engage in commercially reasonable efforts to resolve or provide a workaround for agent issues on the indicated legacy operating systems, but the success of resolutions or workarounds cannot be guaranteed.
- Arctic Wolf Engineering does not commit to bug fixes, security updates, or feature enhancements for legacy operating systems, for the following reasons:
- Legacy operating systems do not support the framework or technologies that Arctic Wolf requires for our products.
- The manufacturer has decided to no longer support these operating systems, which could expose serious security flaws or defects that the manufacturer will not address.
Support for legacy versions of CylanceHYBRID

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 |
Up to 3.2.x |
Up to 3.2 |
- The OVA file for CylanceHYBRID 1.4.15 displays as a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 (64-bit) guest operating system when imported into VMware ESXi. This is by design and the guest operating system should not be renamed or changed to any other operating system, such as CentOS 7 (64-bit).
- CylanceHYBRID 1.4.15 is no longer available for download from the Endpoint Defense console, but it is available by request from Arctic Wolf Technical Support.
- The CylanceHYBRID server only supports versions of agents up to Protect 3.2.x and Focus 3.2, and is limited by the OS compatibility. For example, a device on Windows 11 (23H2) running Protect agent version 3.2 is supported, but agent version 3.3 is not. Devices on macOS 15 are not supported because the Protect agent 3.3 is required but CylanceHYBRID only supports up to agent version 3.2.
