Update Aurora Protect Desktop on cloned devices

Deploy Aurora Protect Desktop on virtual machines.
  1. On the gold image, update the Aurora Protect Desktop agent.
  2. If any additional updates or files are applied to the gold image, apply the VDI preparation device policy to the gold image and allow the background threat detection scan to complete.
  3. Review the results of the background threat detection scan and, if necessary, add binaries detected on the gold image to the Aurora Protect Desktop quarantine or safe lists.
  4. Apply the production device policy to the gold image.
  5. Reseal the gold image.
  6. Make sure that the gold image device is excluded from device lifecycle management.
    1. In the management console, go to Assets > Devices.
    2. Find the gold image device and select the checkbox beside it.
    3. Click Lifecycle management > Exclude from Lifestyle management.
    4. Click Yes to confirm.
  7. Verify that the agent update is propagated to the cloned devices.
