Unprotected Device Discovery service

The Unprotected Device Discovery service identifies unprotected devices so that you can take action to protect your network.

An unprotected device is a device discovered from an Active Directory (AD) connection that is not registered in the Aurora Endpoint Security console with any Aurora Endpoint Security agents installed.

By default, this service is disabled and must be enabled separately for each directory connection. After you configure a directory connection, the ability to enable the service becomes available within 24 hours. When you enable the service for the first time, unprotected devices appear in the Aurora Endpoint Security console within two minutes. After the initial scan, the Aurora Endpoint Security console updates the list every 24 hours.

Each unprotected device on the Unprotected Devices page displays a protection control status indicating if its operating system version is compatible with the Aurora Protect agent.
