View sensors

  1. Sign in to the Arctic Wolf Unified Portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Data Collection > Sensors.
  3. In the Sensors table, view information about the sensors and log collectors in your environment:

    Column

    Description

    Name

    The name assigned to the device.

    Status

    The status of the device: Unhealthy, Awaiting Activation, Staged, Shipped, Preparing To Ship, New, or Healthy.

    Product Type

    The type of device: Physical, Virtual, or Virtual Log Collector.
    Upgrade Status The upgrade status of a device:
    • Pending — An upgrade is scheduled. The date that the upgrade is scheduled is displayed beside it.
    • In Progress — An upgrade is currently in progress.
    • Completed — An upgrade completed within the last 24 hours.
    • Failed — An upgrade recently failed. Arctic Wolf will contact you to determine how to proceed.
    • No Updates Pending — No upgrade is currently scheduled. The sensor is currently up to date.

    Model
    If the device is:
    • A physical sensor — The hardware model.
    • A virtual sensor (vSensor) or virtual log collector (VLC) — The virtual appliance model.

    Config

    The sensor configuration: internal_tap, mirroring, or vlc.

    Site Name

    The name of the site where the device is deployed.
  4. Optional: Click the Arrows next to the column heading to sort the information by that criteria.
    A dark arrow indicates an active sort.
  5. Optional: Use the filters to refine the information that displays in the table.
