View asset widgets

View asset widgets to get real-time visualizations of asset data, to help make asset management more intuitive and effective.

  1. Sign in to the Arctic Wolf Unified Portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Data Collection > Assets.
    The Assets table displays. For more information, see Assets table.
  3. Click the required tab.

    On the Assets page, the Devices, External IPs , and Domains tabs each have a widget that allows you to view assets By Criticality and By Category. For more information, see the Asset Criticality and Category descriptions here Assets table.

    The Devices tab also includes these widgets:

    • Device State Overview — Summarizes the number of Active, Inactive, and Low Signal assets. Click View > to view the specified assets in the table.
    • Endpoint Protection Status — Provides summaries of the current protection status of endpoints using these groupings:
      • Status Overview tab — Shows the percentage of endpoints by endpoint protection type:
        • Installed - AWN Agent — The Source is Agent.
        • Installed - Other Endpoint Protection Tool
        • Not Installed — The Source is not Agent and the sensor does not detect any endpoint protection on the device.
        • Not Applicable - Device Being Decommissioned
        • Not Applicable - IoT Device
        • Not Applicable - No Endpoint Protection Tool Available
        • Not Applicable - Not Owned By My Company
        • Not Applicable - Other — The endpoint solution is not installed on the device for a reason not listed.
        • Not Applicable - Performance Concerns
      • Unprotected by Category tab — Shows the percentage of endpoints without endpoint protection, grouped by category. The category represents the purpose of the asset and helps you to assess risk. For example, a desktop without endpoint protection presents higher risk than a printer.
      • Unprotected by OS tab — Shows the percentage of endpoints without endpoint protection, grouped by operating system: Linux, macOS, Windows, or Unknown if a non-standard OS is identified.
  4. Optional: Based on the type of widget, do one or more of these actions:
    • To set whether a widget includes data for all devices or only devices that are currently included in the table — Click , and then select All Devices or Filtered: Current table view.

    • To view more detail about the devices represented in a pie chart segment — Click a segment of the pie chart. The table data refreshes to reflect the filter for the pie chart segment.
    • To view more detail about the devices represented in a pie chart segment, but also add additional filters — Click a segment of a pie chart, click Filters, add the required filters, and then click Apply FIlters.
      Note: To update the widget, so that it reflects additional table filters, at the top of the widget click , and then select Filtered: Current table view.
