Troubleshoot Microsoft Entra ID with Event Hubs configuration

This information provides solutions for common Microsoft Entra ID with Event Hubs configuration issues.

If the newly created sensor fails to connect or shows errors in the Unified Portal, it may be misconfigured.

  • Verify that all configuration values are entered correctly, including the hostname, event hub name, consumer group name, client ID, tenant ID, and client secret.
  • Make sure that the application has been assigned the Azure Event Hubs Data Receiver role on the Event Hubs namespace.
  • Confirm that the client secret has not expired.
  • Make sure that the Microsoft Entra ID diagnostic settings are configured.
  • Verify that events are being streamed to the Event Hub by checking the Event Hub metrics in the Azure portal.
