Aurora Endpoint Security support for legacy systems
Arctic Wolf® provides continued support for specific versions of the Aurora Protect Desktop and Aurora Focus agents on legacy operating systems. The operating systems are designated legacy because the manufacturer deprecated them.
Support for agents on legacy operating systems
Changes to this information are published at least 1 year in advance to help customers prepare for the removal of support for legacy operating systems.
-
Arctic Wolf strongly encourages customers to upgrade desktop devices to manufacturer-supported operating systems and Aurora Endpoint Security products and services to the latest version, to benefit from the latest features and fixes.
-
Aurora Protect Desktop agent versions 2.1.1564 and 1568 are no longer available for download from the Aurora Endpoint Security console. You can request these Aurora Protect Desktop agent versions from Arctic Wolf Technical Support.
-
Arctic Wolf Technical Support engages in commercially reasonable efforts to resolve or provide a workaround for agent issues on legacy operating systems. The success of resolutions or workarounds is not guaranteed.
-
Arctic Wolf Engineering does not commit to bug fixes, security updates, or feature enhancements for legacy operating systems because:
-
Legacy operating systems do not support the framework or technologies required for Arctic Wolf products.
-
The manufacturer has decided to no longer support these operating systems, which could expose serious unaddressed security flaws or defects.

Support for legacy versions of CylanceHYBRID
-
The OVA file for CylanceHYBRID version 1.4.15 displays as a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 (64-bit) guest operating system when imported into VMware ESXi. This behavior is expected. Don't rename or change the guest operating system.
-

-
The CylanceHYBRID server only supports Aurora Protect Desktop agent up to version 3.2.x and Aurora Focus agent version 3.2, and is limited by OS compatibility.
