Device lifecycle management
A registered device in the Aurora Endpoint Security console is considered online if the Aurora Protect agent is online.
The Aurora Endpoint Security agents report offline status when they are not communicating with the Aurora Endpoint Security console, such as when a user turns off their device. If an agent remains in the offline state for a long period of time, this inactivity can indicate that the device is no longer used.
-
Mark offline devices as Inactive after 60 days.
-
Track the number of days that a device remains in the offline or inactive states. If the device communicates with the Aurora Endpoint Security console again, the device state changes to online and the timer resets.
-
If enabled, automatically remove Inactive devices after another specified number of days. The default period for this setting is 60 days.
Devices marked as Inactive continue to be protected, even when they are not communicating with the Aurora Endpoint Security console.
