Configure Arctic Wolf authentication
- In the first verification email sent by Arctic Wolf, click the URL to confirm your account.
A web browser opens an email confirmation page.
- Close the web browser page after it fully loads.
- In the second verification email sent by Arctic Wolf, click the URL to set your password.
- Enter a new password.
You are redirected to the sign-in page, where you can use your newly created credentials.
- On a device, install an authenticator application. For example, Google Authenticator.
- Use your authenticator application to add an account association.
For example, if you are using Google Authenticator, complete these steps:
Note:Steps vary between authenticator applications.
- Click + to add a new account association.
- Select Scan a QR code.
The device camera opens and displays a box on the screen.
- Position the authenticator device so that the QR code is within the boundary of the box and hold the device still.
It takes 1-3 seconds for the application to register the QR code. When the QR code is scanned, the application automatically redirects you to the main screen.Note:
If you can't use your camera to scan a QR code, click Can't scan the image on your main device and Enter code manually on your authenticator device.
- On your main device, enter the code displayed on the authenticator application.
- Click >.
- If the code is not accepted, try again. The codes are time-sensitive and expire after 30 seconds.
- Copy the one-time use recovery code, and save it in a safe, encrypted location. For example, a password manager.
Note:
The code is never visible to Arctic Wolf. We cannot recover the code, but we can generate a new one for you.
