These are possible messages that can be sent if an error occurs while applying a patch.

Software not running

The software to be patched must be running, but it is currently stopped or unavailable.

-40

Uninstallation timed out

The uninstallation did not complete in time. Try running the patch process again.

-50

No active user session

No user is currently signed in to the device.

-62

Access denied

Antivirus software stopped Arctic Wolf Agent from accessing the device.

-72

Access denied

A cybersecurity application stopped Arctic Wolf Agent from accessing the device.

-1020

Software version unknown

The software version on the device could not be identified.

-1021

Patch process timed out

Try reducing the number of patches in a single deployment.

-1022

OS details unknown

Information about the operating system could not be retrieved.

-1026

Unsupported software

This software is no longer supported.

-1027

Unsupported language

The current system language is not supported.

-1028

Unsupported architecture

The system architecture is not supported for this operation.

-1029

Unable to patch software

This software must be patched manually.

-1030

Installation blocked

One or more processes preventing installation could not be stopped.

-1031

Installation blocked

Unable to identify which processes are preventing installation.

-1033

Unable to patch software

This software must be patched manually.

-1034

Installation failed

The installation was unsuccessful.

-1036

Installer extraction failed

The installer or its files could not be extracted.

-1041

Another installation in progress

Another MSI installation process is currently running. Try again later.

-1042

Software version mismatch

The installed software version does not match the expected version.

-1046

Unsupported OS architecture

The operating system architecture is not supported.

-1049

Insufficient memory

The device ran out of available memory during installation.

-1050

File decompression failed

The compressed files could not be unpacked.

-1051

Insufficient system privileges

Arctic Wolf Agent does not have the required system privileges.

-1052

Installer version verification failed

The installer version could not be verified against the requested version.

-1054

Patching must be user-initiated

In a Remote Desktop session, the operation must be initiated by a signed-in user, not run by the system.

-1055

Multiple Remote Desktop sessions detected

Patching is not supported when multiple Remote Desktop sessions are active.

-1056

Remote Desktop user mismatch

The patch process was started by a different user than the one currently logged in through Remote Desktop.

-10001

Software version mismatched or not found

The expected software version was not found, or the software is not installed on the device.

-10003

Patch request timed out

Try reducing the number of patches in a single deployment.

-10004

Software not found

The software to be patched was not found on the device.

-20201

Download failed

A required dependency package could not be downloaded.

-20203

Download failed

The required software package could not be downloaded.

-20206

Patch no longer required

The patch was not applied because the risk was no longer detected.

-20407

Patch deadline exceeded

The software was not patched before the deployment deadline.
