Update the version of your Aurora Engine on a Windows distribution

  1. To update an older version of the Aurora Engine to a newer version, download the newer installation package from the Arctic Wolf Unified Portal.
    1. Sign in to the Arctic Wolf Unified Portal.
    2. In the navigation menu, click Resources > Downloads.
    3. In the Aurora Endpoint Software Downloads section, in the Product field, select Aurora Engine.
    4. Search for the latest version of the Aurora Engine for your Windows distribution and download it.
    • Aurora Engine Service v1.2.0 - Win x64 is an MSI installation package.
    • Aurora Engine Service v1.2.0 - Generic Win x64 is a portable ZIP package.
  2. Do one of the following:

    Update the Aurora Engine with the MSI installer.

    Run the MSI installer using an account with sufficient privileges to install and start a system service.

    Update the Aurora Engine without an installer.

    The only requirement for the location of the files from the package is that the log file path must point to a writable location.
