Assign a user and a due date to a risk

This task is optional.

To track the resolution of a risk, you can assign risks to specific users within your organization and assign a due date.

  1. Sign in to the Risk Dashboard.
  2. In the navigation menu, do one of these actions:
    • To view the Risks table, click Risks.
    • To view the Unassigned Risks table, click Management Plan.
  3. In the Risks or Unassigned Risks table, click the risk you want to assign a user and due date to.

    The information pane opens.

  4. Optional: In the information pane, in the Assigned To list, select an email address.
    Tip:

    To remove user and due date assignments, in the Assigned to menu, select the empty field.

  5. Optional: In the information pane, click the Due Date field, and then select a date on the calendar. This is the date when the risk should enter the Fixed, Waiting Validation state. This date must be at least one day in the future. The present day is highlighted in blue.

    The Due Date field populates with a date based on the selection in the format MM/DD/YYYY. For example, 02/20/2020.

  6. Click Update to save your changes.
