Troubleshoot vSensors

This information provides solutions for common Arctic Wolf® Virtual Sensor (vSensor) issues.

Experiencing traffic issues

You might need to change the status of promiscuous mode.

  1. Using the vSphere Client, sign into the ESXi host or vCenter Server.
  2. In the inventory, select the ESXi host.
  3. Click the Configuration tab.
  4. In the Hardware section, click Networking.
  5. For the virtual switch that you want modify, click Properties.
  6. Select the virtual switch or portgroup you want to modify, and then click Edit.
  7. Click the Security tab.
  8. In the Promiscuous Mode list, do one of these actions:
    • If the switch you are using to forward traffic is a standard virtual switch — Select Accept.
    • If the switch you are using to forward traffic is a distributed switch with port mirroring — Select Reject.
