Install the Aurora Focus agent for macOS

  1. Before you install the Aurora Focus agent on devices, you must configure the following on those devices to disable proxy bypass. This is required for CylanceHYBRID environments, as it ensures that the Aurora Focus agent always uses a specified proxy server to connect to the Aurora Focus cloud services:
    Note: Aurora Focus v3.2 MR2 or older does not support proxy settings.
    1. In /Library/Application Support/Cylance/Desktop/registry/LocalMachine/Software/Cylance/Desktop/, add the following to the values.xml file:
      <value name=“ProxyServer” type=“string”>http://proxy_server_IP:port</value>
    2. In /Library/Application Support/Cylance/Optics/Configuration, create an ExternalConfig.xml file with the following:
      <?xml version=“1.0” encoding=“utf-8”?><EnforceProxyServer>true</EnforceProxyServer>
  2. In the management console, on the menu bar, click Settings > Deployments.
  3. In the Product drop-down list, click CylanceOPTICS.
  4. Select the OS, version, and format, and click Download.
  5. Using your organization's preferred software distribution method, deploy and run the installation file on devices.
