Edit a custom dashboard

Complete these steps to edit a custom dashboard.

These resources are required:

  • A Managed Detection and Response (MDR) license.
  • A full Data Explorer license.

    For more information, see Data Explorer license options.

  • Administrator permissions for the Arctic Wolf Unified Portal.

    You must be a primary or secondary contact. If you require this level of access, submit your request to a primary or secondary contact in your organization.

  1. Sign in to the Arctic Wolf Unified Portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Reporting > Dashboards.
  3. To open a dashboard, click a dashboard title.
    Tip: Custom dashboards do not have the Arctic Wolf logo. For more information, see View dashboards.
  4. Click Dashboard Actions > Edit.
  5. To rename the dashboard or edit the description, do these actions:
    1. Click Dashboard Actions > Edit Dashboard Information.
    2. Modify the text.
    3. Click Apply.
  6. To change the privacy setting, do these actions:
    1. Click or .
    2. Select an option:
      • Not Restricted — Makes the dashboard visible to everyone in your organization.
      • Restricted — Restricts access to only primary and secondary contacts in your organization.
      Note: Primary and secondary contacts in your organization have read and write permissions to all custom dashboards.
  7. Add, edit, or remove widgets:
    1. To add a widget from the widget gallery, click Dashboard Actions > Widget Gallery , and then click Add to add a widget. To close the widget gallery, click Close .

      Tip: You can also add a widget using these methods:
    3. To edit a widget, click Actions > Edit.
    4. To remove a widget, click Actions > Delete.
  8. To change the default date range for the dashboard, do these actions:
    1. Click Dashboard Actions > Modify Default Date Range.
    2. Select an option in the list.
  9. Optional: Drag and drop to reposition a widget.
  10. Click Save Changes.
