Edit a custom dashboard

Primary and secondary contacts can edit all custom dashboards.

Arctic Wolf Managed dashboards can't be edited. Instead, duplicate the Arctic Wolf Managed dashboard to create a new custom dashboard. For more information, see Duplicate a dashboard.

These resources are required:

  • A Managed Detection and Response (MDR) license.
  • A full Data Explorer license.

    For more information, see Data Explorer license options.

  • Administrator permissions for the Arctic Wolf Unified Portal.

    You must be a primary or secondary contact. If you require this level of access, submit your request to a primary or secondary contact in your organization.

  1. Sign in to the Arctic Wolf Unified Portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Reporting > Dashboards.
  3. Click a dashboard title to open it.
  4. Click Dashboard Actions > Edit.
  5. To edit the dashboard name or description:
    1. Click Dashboard Actions > Edit Dashboard Information.
    2. Modify the text.
    3. Click Apply.
  6. To change the privacy settings:
    1. Click or .
    2. Select an option:
      • Not Restricted — Makes the dashboard visible to everyone in your organization.
      • Restricted — Restricts access to only primary and secondary contacts in your organization.
      Note: Primary and secondary contacts in your organization have read and write permissions for all custom dashboards.
  7. To add, edit, or remove widgets:
    • Add a widget from the widget gallery — Click Dashboard Actions > Widget Gallery , and then click Add .
    • Copy a widget from another dashboard — See Copy a widget to another dashboard. Before copying a widget from another dashboard, complete the remaining steps in this task to finish editing the current dashboard.
    • Add a custom widget — See Create a dashboard widget.
    • You can use Aurora Security Assistant to create widgets. For more information, see Aurora Security Assistant.
    • Edit a widget — Click Actions > Edit.
    • Remove a widget — Click Actions > Delete
  8. To change the default date range for the dashboard:
    1. Click Dashboard Actions > Edit Dashboard Information.
    2. Select the appropriate option.
  9. Optional: Drag and drop to reposition a widget.
  10. Click Save Changes.
