Connect to the serial console with an AWN203 or 301 Sensor using Windows

You can connect to the serial console with an AWN203 or 301 Sensor using Windows. You can use the serial console interface to restart, reconfigure, or run diagnostic tests on the sensor.

These resources are required:

Note: No additional drivers are required to connect to the serial console with an AWN203 or 201 Sensor.
  • An AWN203 or 301 Sensor
  • DB9 to USB serial cable serial cable with a PL2303TA chipset
  1. Use the serial cable to connect the scanner to your Windows device.
  2. Open PuTTY.
  3. In the Session category, configure these settings:
    • Connection type — Select Serial.
    • Serial line — Enter the serial line for the console cable.
    • Speed — Enter 115200.
  4. Click Connection > Serial.
  5. In the Flow Control list, select None.
  6. Press Enter three times to initiate the serial console session.
