Delete Devices

Delete one or more devices from a tenant. This asynchronous operation can take up to two hours to delete the devices. If a callback URL is provided, the callback occurs when deletion is complete.

Field Name Description

callback_url

The URL of the callback upon completion (optional).

Note: If you are not using a callback URL, leave it out of the request. An empty callback URL results in an error message.

device_ids

The unique identifiers of the devices to be deleted:

  • All device IDs should be well formed GUIDs. Non-conforming values are removed from the request.
  • The maximum number of device IDs per request is 20.

request_id

The unique identifier for the deletion request.

Not all clients support sending a DELETE request. This example uses a POST request instead.
