Create a custom dashboard

A custom dashboard allows you to visualize and monitor data that is important to you.

Tip:
  • You can copy any existing dashboard, including built-in ones, to create a new custom dashboard. For more information, see Duplicate a dashboard.
  • You can use Aurora Security Assistant to create widgets. For more information, see Aurora Security Assistant.

These resources are required:

  • A Managed Detection and Response (MDR) license.
  • A full Data Explorer license.

  • Administrator permissions for the Arctic Wolf Unified Portal.

    You must be a primary or secondary contact. If you require this level of access, submit your request to a primary or secondary contact in your organization.

  1. Sign in to the Arctic Wolf Unified Portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Reporting > Dashboards.
  3. Click Create Dashboard .
  4. In the Dashboard Name field, enter a name for the custom dashboard.
  5. Optional: In the Description (Optional) field, enter a short description of the dashboard.
  6. Select a privacy setting:
    • Not Restricted — Makes the dashboard visible to everyone in your organization.
    • Restricted — Restricts access to only primary and secondary contacts in your organization.
  7. To add one or more widgets from the widget gallery, complete these steps:
    1. To open the widget gallery, click Dashboard Actions > Widget Gallery.
    2. For each widget that you want to add to the dashboard, click Add .
    3. To close the widget gallery, click Close .
    4. Optional: To customize a widget that you added from the widget gallery, click Actions > Edit.

  9. Set a default date range for the dashboard:
    1. Click Dashboard Actions > Modify Default Date Range.
    2. Select an option in the list.
  10. Optional: Drag and drop to reposition a widget.
  11. Click Save Changes.
