Release Notes: Aurora Protect and Aurora Focus for Windows 3.4 MR1

Starting with Aurora Protect and Aurora Focus 3.4 MR1 for Windows devices, there are two versions of the agents: x64 and now additionally ARM64. The x64 version is for devices with 64-bit Intel processors. The ARM64 version is for devices with 64-bit ARM processors, such as Snapdragon.

What's New

Native support for Windows on ARM64

New versions of Aurora Protect and Aurora Focus agent 3.4 MR1 that natively support Windows devices with ARM64 processors are now available. The management console has been updated to support these devices. You can download these agents in the Aurora Endpoint Defense console from the Settings > Deployment menu by selecting the arm64 | msi or exe option.

The ARM64 agents focus on the detection of malicious file and process executions, and building related Aurora Focus EDR telemetry. Memory protection, script control, and application control device policy features are currently not supported on ARM64 devices. Policy features for Aurora Focus that are related to Intel processors are also not supported on ARM64 devices.

Download the agents

Download the Aurora Protect and Aurora Focus agents (x64 or ARM64) from the console. You can deploy them to Windows devices in your organization using preferred methods.
  1. In the management console, go to Settings > Deployments.
  2. In the Product field, select Protect or Focus.
  3. In the OS field, select Windows.
  4. In the Version field, select the latest version.
  5. In the Format field, do one of these:
    • Select exe.
    • Select arm64 | msi.
    • Select x64 | msi.
  6. Click Download.

Fixed issues

Aurora Protect 3.4 MR1

When launching an application with large files, the launch was delayed while the files were scored locally. (AED-5873, AED-5867)

When you upgraded to Aurora Protect 3.4.1000 on Windows devices that were set to the Turkish system locale, Aurora Protect service did not automatically start after the upgrade. (AED-5856)

You could not upgrade to Aurora Protect 3.4.1000 on Windows devices that were set to the Turkish system locale. (AED-5849)

A very large tenant global list caused Aurora Protect to not start up. (AED-5648)

Aurora Focus 3.4 MR1

Aurora Focus did not apply BDE rule exceptions which caused extraneous alerts to appear in the Aurora Endpoint Defense console. (AED-6531)

Aurora Focus occasionally prevented applications that relied on access to temporary files from modifying or deleting them. (AED-4290)
