Arctic Wolf Agent Diagnostic Tool

The Arctic Wolf® Agent and Active Directory Sensor diagnostic tool helps customers:
- Test connections
- Test services
- Gather configuration and log files
The signed diagnostic tool runs several scripts, displays the output, and creates a zip
file of the gathered information. The tool is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Contact your Concierge Security® Team (CST) for the link to the diagnostic tool.
Run the diagnostic tool
Run the tool to display the output and create a diagnostic zip
file in the same folder location as the tool.
For Windows:
- Locate the diagnostic file in Windows Explorer.
- Right-click the diagnostic file and select Run as Administrator.
- To complete the diagnostic, press any key at the prompt.
Note: It may take up to 10 minutes for the Windows diagnostic to complete.
For macOS:
- Open terminal.
- From the location of the tool, run the following command:
sudo ./agent-diagnostic-tool-mac
- To complete the diagnostic, press any key at the prompt.
For Linux:
- Open terminal.
- From the location of the tool, run the following command:
sudo ./awn-agent-debug
- To complete the diagnostic, press any key at the prompt.
Note: You may need to change the file permissions with the following command:
sudo chmod +x ./awn-agent-debug
Send the output file
- Upload the
zip
file using the link provided by your CST. - Inform your CST that the file has been uploaded.
Output file
The zip
file contains the following information:
- Operating system (OS) and hardware information:
- Memory
- CPU cores
- Disk space
- Maximum clock speed
- OS version
- OS architecture
- Bandwidth test results, including upload, download, and the average speed in Mbps.
- Agent install directory files and folder.
- For Windows:
- PowerShell version
- AD Sensor logs and scripts
- Sysmon version and configuration, if installed
